State-Of-The-Art Stress Test

The picture on the right  was used in a case study on stress level at St. Mary's Hospital in Baltimore. Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are identical.  A closely monitored, scientific study of a group revealed that in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical, a  person under stress will almost always find differences in the two dolphins.
If there are one or two differences found between both dolphins, it means that the person is experiencing a great amount of stress.

If there are three or more differences found, the person may want take a long vacation or consult with a physician.

The autism awareness puzzle bracelets went on sale the week of Dec. 12, and the first 500 went so fast that the all-volunteer organization AutismLink had 300 back-ordered by Christmas week. The group helps families with autistic children connect. The AutismLink bracelet is dark blue with red, yellow and light blue puzzle pieces on them. Waeltermann explained that the puzzle pieces are a symbol representing the mystery or puzzle of an autistic person's mind at www.autismlink.com, cost $5. Proceeds go to AutismLink efforts such as outings for

children and for the group's respite program for parents.

Congressman Dan Burton is asking parents of children with autism spectrum disorders to send in their personal stories. When was the onset of autism? What were the surrounding circumstances?  What are the hurdles you face in attempting to secure appropriate educational placements and services?  What are the hurdles you face in attempting to secure or access insurance coverage/benefits? What are your child's prospects for the future? Congressman Burton will be personally reading these stories, and selecting representative samples to be read by him on C-Span. Please send in your stories to Congressman Burton, as follows: Congressman Dan Burton, 8900 Keystone Crsng. #1050 Indpls., IN 46240 Please be sure to note at the bottom left of your letter "Autism Family."

Medical modalities promoted by public health departments and authorities are often compromised by conflicts of interest with pharmaceutical companies and other political and personal agendas, according to Medical Veritas International. MVI encourages independent research into disease mechanisms   and the objective portrayal of both positive and deleterious effects of  approved medical interventions. I'm working on a new book about parents whose children are on the autism spectrum (Asperger's, autism, and all related conditions), and how they deal with school systems, both public and private. The challenges, the obstacles, the help and the stories. Mostly the stories. If you have a story to tell--either a horror story or one of

the happier ones--I'd like to hear it. In fact, I might like to include it in the book. It would consist of a telephone interview, about 30 mins.. jeff@aarontucker.com and let me know how you heard about the project. Jeff Cohen
